Check It

A couple weeks ago, we went to the DC temple with some friends. We were able to see Naomi, Josh and Kingsley. It was a very good Saturday.

There was a festival so the traffic was horrible. We had fun taking pictures :)

check out the random guy eating the burger...

It was so pretty out! The weather was amazing and so were the trees.

We were so happy we were able to see Naomi. She is so amazing and we love her.

What a day....

When we moved to Virginia last august, we didn't realize how much we would miss the mountains in Utah (or scenery in general). So here is a picture of southern Utah and what we
miss about Utah.

This is a picture of us hiking in Capital Reef Nat'l Park around 3 years ago. When we were 16, we made our dad take us camping for spring break. We also wouldn't let anyone else come because we wanted it to be just the 3 of us. When we were about 10, our mom, grandma, sisters, and brother all went to Kansas to visit family. So, my dad, rach and I went to Capital Reef to go camping. That is one of the main reasons we didn't want anyone to come. We really enjoyed spending time together. A year later, the 3 of us went to Zions Nat'l Park in February. It was freezing and there was still snow on the mountains. Most of the hikes were either icy or muddy, but we still had a blast.

Hopefully we can squeeze a camping trip in this summer.

A Birthday Shout Out!

It was our mom's birthday on Monday.

We know it's now Wednesday but it's the thought that counts.

We would just like to wish our mom a happy belated birthday. She is the most amazing person in the world. No, seriously, she is. We're so grateful for the risks she took to have us. We are also so happy she was willing to have us:P She has sacrificed so much for us and everyone in our family.

Everything we are today is because of our mom. She is always there to encourage us and tell us can do it!

We love you!!!

Monday

Sunday Love

On Sunday the weather was gorgeous so we decided to go for a walk. When we were younger, our family would go on sunday walks, and going on this one brought back so many great memories. We miss our family!

We walked along a river...

We found some flowers (Rachel and Jenni)

We got our feet wet. The water was so cold, but it was still fun (:

We love Sundays.

Here are a few things I learned last week:

  1. I really get annoyed when people think twins have the same opinions because we DON'T.

  2. I love living in Virginia but I miss the mountains in Utah.

  3. I absolutely love tennis and am so thankful my shoulders don't hurt anymore.

  4. I love cookies too much...

  5. Summer is so much better than winter

  6. Writing 1,500 word papers isn't fun at all.

  7. Getting car sick is horrible.

  8. I love to write letters and need to purchase more stamps

Hello!

Here are some of our random thoughts:

So we are officially on spring break! Our mom and brother are coming tomorrow and we are very excited to see them. We are going to see some historical sites around Virginia while they are here. Then, on thursday, we are going to Virginia Beach with our tennis team for 3 matches. It is going to be a very good spring break and it will be nice not having to worry about school.

Oh, and we will be 19 on the 13th! Hooray for birthdays! It will be our first birthday away from our home and family.

While we watch Top Gun, we are talking about what kind of dogs we want when we are older. Rachel really wants a border collie that can play fetch. That's her only requirement: a dog that can play fetch. It really makes me laugh. While we were camping in Capitol Reef National Park a couple years ago, we saw an older couple that had a border collie. It was such a beautiful dog! It's funny how we both remember the dog but we never even talked about it before. I guess that dog really caught our attention!

Here is a quote that we really like: Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars. -Henry Van Dyke
